Promigas, aware of the relationship between its businesses and climate related aspects, as well as the financial consequences for the organization generated by climate risks and opportunities, proposed the development of a strategy that aligns and structures (i) the organization's actions to mitigate its climate change impacts and (ii) the management of the risks and opportunities derived from it, minimizing the primary ones and maximizing the business opportunities derived from it.

Furthermore, Promigas is committed to the global goals and principles on climate change established by the United Nations system, in particular through the Global Compact and its Caring for Climate initiative and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), defining as one of the priority SDGs Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. Consequently, the definition of the climate strategy represents a major step forward in achieving this objective and in improving the value of corporate sustainability.

We take very seriously our corporate commitment to act for the climate and the sustainable management of our businesses, which is why we have established a roadmap for the decarbonization of our businesses, joining the global agenda, not just in words, but with a concrete, credible action plan with clear objectives in the short, medium and long term.

We contribute to achieving a Net Zero world with the following commitments:
  • By 2028: Reduction by ~50% of our expected emissions compared to 2021 for Scope 1, 2 and a specific part of Scope 3.
  • By 2040: To achieve net zero emissions for Scope 1, 2 and a specific part of Scope 3.
