THE BENEFITS OF NATURAL GAS IN COLOMBIA HAVE ALSO EXTENDED TO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION.

Conversion of vehicles to natural gas represents a 50% savings over gasoline. Other advantages include low maintenance costs and the possibility of longer- lasting, clean oil and spark plugs.
In addition, since natural gas is a clean fuel, the engine’s life almost doubles and maintenance costs decrease by 50%.
To the extent that a larger number of vehicles use natural gas, pollution will decrease in cities because natural gas in combustion does not produce contaminating particles that affect human health and, therefore, contributes to improve air quality and the overall environment.
The vehicle natural gas program in Colombia allows replacement of approximately 500,000 barrels of imported gasoline annually, with the resulting benefits for the country.
